Fire Ban Implemented May 13th 2026 at 5:00pm until Further Notice
Effective immediately, a Fire Ban has been implemented within the Rural Municipality of Elton until further notice.
Due to current dry conditions and the increased risk of wildfire, all open fires are strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: • Burning of brush, grass, and debris, yard waste • Recreational campfires • Fireworks • Burn Barrels • Any other open-air burning
This Fire Ban has been enacted to protect residents, property, and natural resources from the threat of uncontrolled fires. Residents are asked to comply fully with this restriction and to exercise caution when using equipment or activities that may generate sparks or heat.
The Fire Ban will remain in effect until conditions improve and the restriction is officially lifted by the Municipality. For updates and additional information, please contact the Municipal office at 204-728-7834 or visit https://elton.ca.
